Very cool. Except for the wall jumping controls.

I'm iffy on the charging mechanic. There's already enough interesting things between the bosses themselves, deciding which way to move, correctly timing your clicks, and all that, that I don't think charging is really necessary or fits in with the rest of the game. It's pretty frustrating when King Midas randomly decides to use the burrowing hands attack right before I launchm or when I fail to grab the cubes so we just stand there awkwardly for two seconds because he decided to be polite and let me charge this time. Of course I might just be salty that I couldn't beat King Midas. Might I suggest that he move a bit towards the center before doing the barrier.
I'm not the biggest fan of shmups in general. This one feels very cluttered visually, especially with the player's ship, player's bullets, and enemy bullets all being yellow.
Could really do with a real level select, for people like me who want to get all the flies but don't care about the speedrun times
It was something that was on the list of things to do, but we didn't have time to get it in. Thanks for playing!
Very cute! Although the level design is far too unchallenging, and it's sorely missing sound effects.
Very fair! I think we’ll probably try to add a few sound effects in a future update as well as a few more types of blocks to make things a little more challenging too :)
Thanks for playing!
Glad you thought it was cute! Definitely some fair points, too. Thanks for playing!
I appreciate the throwback to old classics like The Impossible Quiz, and I don't even terribly mind the nonsense answers. The real problem is having to start all over from the beginning, especially with the ones that are more involved like the debugging and the simon says. I wouldn't expect to just get to continue from the same point, but what about some kind of compromise? There could be checkpoints. Or when you game over you get sent ten or so questions back. Or once you've done a question ten or so times it skips that question.
Glad to hear :)
I definitely thought of checkpoints but... ultimately decided against it. I do see what you mean and where you're coming from but at the same time the game is quite short (60 questions) so continuing from a checkpoint would make it feel even shorter imo. Plus I think that it kind of gives an extra challenge to get through all 60 while still keeping your lives.
If I ever do a part 3 though... I'll definitely consider adding check points especially if there's gonna be 100+ questions haha
Thanks for playing the game!
I can't remember the last time I played a platformer with controls that feel this awful. It's like the floor is made of ice, yet aerial control is excessively tight. And checkpoints are infrequent. I gave up on like the third or fourth level. Also the English is terrible.
This is only your second game here and I already knew it was you from the style and the writing
Pretty good, but way too easy. I didn't get hit once on the final boss. Too much of the time was spent walking to the stairs after killing all the enemies. Also I lost my connection or something because I stopped getting awarded medals sometime before I got to floor 30... Would be nice if it'd resubmit when loading the game.
the text adventure was funny and promising but holy balls the platforming physics are just awful
Play my games, they're okay
